A group of crocuses

I walk past these lovely crocuses on my way to work and I just had to stop and take a photo of them. They’re so delicate and so colourful after the drabness of winter.

Using the Library

I enjoy reading and so I visit one of my local libraries at least once a week. I usually read 2 or 3 books a week, but I like to have some spare ones ready in case I run out, or if I’m trying an author new to me I might not like their style.

I think libraries are very important and the cuts in services are worrying. I hope that everyone will still have access to a library after the cuts have been made.

I took this photo in Upton Upon Severn library. It’s a lovely modern building with a light open feel to it, and I love it’s round windows.

A touch of Spring

I went out into the garden yesterday to take some photos of the Moon as it was a lovely clear sunny day. As I turned round to go back into the house, a flash of colour caught my eye, and there in the middle of the lawn was a crowd of mauve crocuses!

I was so pleased to see them! I don’t remember them from last year, but I think what happened was that the birds had sabotaged them by pecking them to pieces before I had a chance to see them.

Of course, with my camera already in my hand, I had to take some photos of them!
